Farmers' Ball NYC

A celebration for farmers, urban growers and community

Join us as we celebrate a season of resiliency and bounty! Meet and mingle with upstate farmers, urban growers and community activist and help us raise funds for our VROOM Bus Cooperative, a collective of activists within the Freedom Food Alliance, working to provide affordable and green transportation for those who most need it.

Let's dance all night, enjoy a special performance by Afro-Beat artists Digital Diaspora, enjoy yummy farm fresh appetizers and sip libations from the cash bar.

Equity Pricing, tickets are on a sliding scale: $10 - $30 in advance or

$15 - $35  at the door.

Attire is formal with a farm twist - your best rustic look, flannel, cocktail dress and cowboy boots...you get the picture!

VROOM is a former school bus retrofitted to veggie-oil and is now available to groups and organizations for their journeys in pursuit of radical change. The bus is based in Wassaic, NY and serves the five boroughs, the Hudson Valley and Harlem Valley. By making the vehicle available to other members of the activist community, we hope to assist organizations devoted to radical organizing and social change with specific transportation needs.

The Freedom Food Alliance is a collective of small rural and urban farmers, activists, artists, community members and political prisoners who use food as an organizing tool to address food sovereignty, environmental justice, prisoner justice and economic justice. We believe it is important to bridge the gap between urban and rural because through strong regional unity we can create sustainable alternatives and tackle the injustices in our communities. We believe food sovereignty is the best way for us to truly transform the inequalities that we see in our communities and gain control over our food.

Sponsored by Freedom Food Alliance, VROOM Bus Cooperative, Wassaic Community Farm, BLK ProjeK, WESPAC, Climbing Poetree, The Color of Food and more
